Protected Learning Time
Protected Learning Time is an initiative designed to bring together our Primary Care workforce for skill development, learning about new treatments, and sharing best practices.
To accommodate this training, the surgery will need to close temporarily. During the closure, 111 and 999 is still available for all patients if they feel is necessary.
Why is Protected Learning Time so important?
- It offers a well-coordinated, relevant, and high-quality educational program.
- It enhances patient care by updating knowledge, improving skills, and sharing best practices.
- It fosters teamwork within primary care.
- It supports both personal and professional development.
- It provides an opportunity to address new technological and governance challenges within healthcare and the NHS.
- It allows time and resources for individuals and practices to focus on their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and follow their Practice Development Plans (PDP).
